The Isaiah 43 Podcast
The Isaiah 43 Podcast invites you to behold the God who says, “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are Mine” (Isa. 43:1). Each week, we walk slowly through the Scriptures, combining careful exegesis with the rich truths of Reformed theology. These reflections on the Holy Scriptures aim to ground your faith, comfort your heart, and lift your eyes to Christ—our great Redeemer, Shepherd, and Friend. Whether you come weary, searching, or eager to grow, you’ll find a steady place to rest in the promises of God.

Week 144: Death Is Not the End
In this week’s episode, we open John 11:11–16 and hear Jesus speak of His friend Lazarus—not as one lost to the grave, but as one who sleeps awaiting His call.
What comfort this gives the believer!
Death is not the end of our story because Christ has conquered it.
When Jesus says, “Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I go to awaken him,” He is revealing far more than a momentary miracle—He’s showing us the heart of the gospel.
Even in delay, His love is never absent; even in death, His power is never silent. Here, faith is forged in the furnace of sorrow, and the glory of Christ shines against the darkness of the tomb.
Join us as we see that Christ’s delay was not neglect but design, that His words awaken faith, and that His resurrection power ensures no grave can hold those whom He loves.
This week we will be reading the following Scripture:
- John 11: 11-16
- John 11: 3
- 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18
- Psalm 110: 1
- 1 Corinthians 15: 13-26
- Isaiah 25: 8
- John 5: 25-29
- John 14: 18-20
- Isaiah 25: 9
- 2 Corinthians 1: 3-7
We look forward to seeing you again on Tuesday for the next episode of the Hard Truths miniseries!
