The Isaiah 43 Podcast
In the Isaiah 43 podcast, we will explore how God formed us, redeemed us, and how He calls us today. Every week we will journey through scripture to understand all that God has done and what His call is for our lives. We will also tackle difficult questions and challenges against faith so that we may all be more confident when sharing the story of salvation with others, even those who stand against it.

Week 132: No Greater Shepherd
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” – John 10:11
In this episode, we stand before one of the most profound declarations Jesus ever made. With tenderness and divine authority, Christ does not merely call Himself a shepherd—He calls Himself the Good Shepherd.
But what does that mean?
Why does Jesus claim this title? What makes His shepherding “good”? And why does He promise to lay down His life for His sheep?
Join us as we dive deep into the theological heart of the Gospel. You’ll explore the richness of Christ’s substitutionary atonement, the intimacy of His love for His sheep, and the exclusive, soul-rescuing nature of His saving work. Whether you’re struggling with sin, overwhelmed by anxiety, or simply in need of gospel-saturated hope, this message is for you.
Christ sees you.
Christ knows you.
Christ gave Himself for you.
And He still holds His sheep today.
We end this episode by beholding the cross, rejoicing in our Good Shepherd’s love, and echoing the words of Hebrews 13:20–21:
“May the God of peace… equip you with everything good… through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
You are not forgotten. You are not alone. The Good Shepherd has laid down His life for you.
